I'm tring to get in touch with Gloria Moreno Wycoff ...... I was one of the first Casa Victoria Graduates and just wanted to say Thank You for everything . I hope this is a good place to leave a note Comision Femenil did so much for me I am a productive person in this world after 23 years I think it's long over due for me to express the thanks and gratitude I truley owe so much to this orginization most of my "old Homies" are either dead or in jail and Thanks to this orginization I am a mother of 4 and very content in my life now.

I think I get the point of poetry in the general sense. It's another medium for self-expression, and I can understand why people might to be drawn to writing and appreciating poetry. I'm also really glad that poetry exists, and I myself might even occasionally write a really lame and ambiguous poem.

However, I have yet to find a poem that I "get". I read it, understand the words, and go, "Well, okay then." I don't know.. maybe it's because I don't know how to properly analyze and deconstruct it in way that could lead to something profound. I'm sure it's very much like fine art in this sense; I need to be aware of its discourse in order to truly understand and be appreciative of it.

No worries, the death rate of the swine flu is probably lower than the accidental death rate of skydiving.

If the conspiracy theorists are right, this overwhelming coverage of the swine flu is probably just a cover for a diabolical government plan that's currently being perpetuated right under our noses. I've been scouring news sources lately to see if I catch anything suspicious that could suddenly make me "believe" and turn me into a conspiracy theorist.

It was mostly a hit to my ego. I know that rejection doesn't change anything about me, my abilities, and my potential.
